Developed in collaboration with the Canadian SURGe project (“Support to Government Reform in Ukraine”), the NADC Development Strategy for the next five years is a comprehensive document, akin to a roadmap. It delineates the strategic and tactical goals of the center, establishes priorities, and outlines specific tasks necessary for the development and implementation of a national anti-doping program in our country. 

During the event,  NADC Director Sergii Popyk, emphasized the targeted measures aimed at enhancing the institutional capacity of the center, fostering sustainable cooperation with stakeholders, particularly national sports federations, and ensuring maximum transparency and public accountability in the practical work of the center.

Furthermore, discussions included the practical achievements of NADC in 2023 and presented priorities for anti-doping work in 2024. Mr. Popik also briefed attendees on the anti-doping program developed by NADC for the upcoming 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris, highlighting key elements such as anti-doping education initiatives and athlete testing.

The event was attended by esteemed guests, including the President of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, Mr. V. Gutsait, the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, the Chair of the Supervisory Board of NADC, Mr. A. Chesnokov, Ukrainian Members of Parliament responsible for sports development, representatives of national sports federations, members of the Supervisory Board, and other bodies associated with NADC’s activities.

“We are confident that this Strategy will provide a solid foundation for further development and enhancement of anti-doping activities in Ukraine, rallying key stakeholders towards decisive changes in anti-doping efforts,” emphasized Mr. Popyk.
