NADC Holds Anti-Doping Seminar for Athletics Representatives
On 1 October, the National Anti-Doping Center, in cooperation with the Athletics Federation of Ukraine, held an educational online seminar, “Anti-Doping Education for Coaches and Athletes in Athletics.”
Around 180 participants joined the event, including athletes of different age groups, leading and senior coaches of the Ukrainian national team, as well as professionals working in the field of physical culture and sport.
During the seminar, Mariia Daineko, Head of the NADC Anti-Doping Education and Communications Department, and Anastasiia Khomenko, Specialist of the NADC Anti-Doping Education and Communications Department, spoke about key aspects of anti-doping education and adherence to the principles of clean sport.
Participants learned more about the principles and values of clean sport, the rights and responsibilities of athletes and support personnel under the World Anti-Doping Code, the consequences of doping use, and possible sanctions for anti-doping rule violations.
Particular attention was paid to the Prohibited List, risks associated with the use of dietary supplements, and the doping control process. The speakers also presented opportunities for self-education and completing anti-doping courses on the ADEL platform.
The National Anti-Doping Center continues to cooperate with sports federations and organizations to provide athletes and support personnel with up-to-date knowledge and contribute to the development of a clean sport culture.
