NADC Supervisory Board: The Centre is operating, progressing, and demonstrating excellent results

14 August 2025

On August 14, the second meeting of the Supervisory Board of the National Anti-Doping Centre this year took place.

Heads of the Centre’s structural units responsible for coordinating work on the issues included in the agenda were also invited to participate.

Opening the meeting, Chair of the Supervisory Board Andrii Chesnokov expressed gratitude for the dedication and active involvement in building an effective, modern, and transparent anti-doping system in Ukrainian sport. “Only through teamwork can we ensure fair play and a decent future for Ukrainian athletes,” emphasized A. Chesnokov.

The meeting’s agenda included current issues related to NADC’s anti-doping education measures, improvement of national anti-doping legislation, and the Centre’s work on reviewing Anti-Doping Programs prepared by national sports federations and associations.

“The agenda of today’s Supervisory Board meeting fully coincides with the agenda of NADC’s daily work. We strictly adhere to the previously agreed strategy, according to which preventing anti-doping rule violations and the use of doping in sport are among our priorities and primary goals. Therefore, anti-doping education and the organization of relevant educational, informational, and communication campaigns are precisely the areas to which we pay significant attention. At the same time, the Ukrainian sports community must also understand that anti-doping education is not only the responsibility of NADC, but also of sports federations, sports clubs, educational institutions, and other entities of the sports movement — exactly as provided by both international and national anti-doping legislation,” noted NADC Director Sergii Popyk.

Supervisory Board members were presented with the current state of preparation of national sports federations’ own Anti-Doping Programs and were also informed about the Centre’s practical work on introducing amendments to national anti-doping legislation. These changes are necessary both to strengthen the protection of underage athletes and to improve the efficiency of the Centre’s work, in particular that of the Disciplinary and Appeal Anti-Doping Commissions, as well as the Therapeutic Use Committee.

Commitment to the principles of fair play is our path to sporting victories!
