Athletes from Kharkiv Region Participate in Anti-Doping Educational Events Organized by NADC
On October 23, the National Anti-Doping Center (NADC) prepared and presented an anti-doping information course for athletes in Kharkiv Region. The course focused on the prevention and fight against the use of prohibited substances in sports. The event was organized by the Kharkiv Region office of National Olympic Committee with the support of the Youth and Sports Department of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.
Athletes and coaches from Kharkiv had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the fundamental concepts of doping, learn how to avoid the risks of unintentional violations of anti-doping rules, and understand the roles of athletes, coaches, and doctors in supporting clean sport. The discussion also covered the consequences of violating anti-doping rules and the importance of caring for one’s health.
Welcoming the participants and attendees of the educational course, NADC Director Serhiy Popyk emphasized that combating doping should become one of the key tasks in the development of sports in Ukraine.
“The fight against doping is a priority task. We aim not only to inform athletes about the dangers of prohibited substances but also to help them make the right decisions, safeguarding their health and the integrity of sport,” stated Serhiy Popyk.
The informational and educational event was conducted by the Head of the NADC Result Management Department, Kateryna Koval, who also emphasized that the NADC will continue to hold a series of events for athletes in Kharkiv Region to enhance their anti-doping awareness, providing them with the necessary knowledge to make responsible decisions and support clean sport.
