On October 9, 2024, the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe confirmed Matviy Bidnyi, Ukraine’s Minister of Youth and Sports, as Europe’s representative on the Executive Committee of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) for the 2025-2027 term.

As a reminder, on September 3, 2024, during a regular meeting of the Ad Hoc European Committee for the World Anti-Doping Agency (CAHAMA), members unanimously endorsed Matviy Bidnyi's candidacy for election to the WADA Executive Committee.

Matviy Bidnyi will assume his responsibilities in this position on January 1, 2025.
