On 20 August, the National Anti-Doping Center (NADC) held an anti-doping education session for representatives of the sports community of the Donetsk region.

The event brought together athletes, coaches, medical professionals, and representatives of sports organizations from the region. Participants received up-to-date information on anti-doping rules, athletes’ rights and responsibilities, doping control procedures, and the main risks of unintentional anti-doping rule violations.

Particular attention was paid to the safe use of medicines and dietary supplements, checking medications for prohibited substances, and athletes’ responsibility for their own decisions.

An important part of the event was a presentation by Volodymyr Sekretnyi, Medical Director of the Ukrainian Sports Medicine Center, who shared his professional experience and highlighted key medical aspects of anti-doping activities.

Participants had the opportunity to ask questions to NADC specialists and Volodymyr Sekretnyi, discuss practical situations, and receive recommendations applicable to their everyday sporting activities.

NADC continues to expand anti-doping education across the regions of Ukraine, as access to quality knowledge and professional dialogue is an important condition for developing a culture of clean sport.
