The First in Ukraine: The Ukrainian Athletics Federation Implements Its Own Anti-Doping Rules
The Ukrainian Athletics Federation has taken a significant step towards ensuring fairness in sports by becoming the first national sports federation in the country to implement its own Anti-Doping Rules. This milestone strengthens the principles of fair play and transparency within the athletics community, reflecting the UAF's strong commitment to the fight against doping.
The National Anti-Doping Center approved the UAF's Anti-Doping Rules after conducting a thorough review, ensuring their compliance with both the World Anti-Doping Code and the NADC’s Anti-Doping Rules. Thanks to this collaboration, the newly adopted rules meet all international standards and are aimed at intensifying the fight against the use of prohibited substances in sports. The introduction of these rules marks an important stage in promoting a "clean" sports culture in Ukraine. It will enhance trust in Ukrainian athletes both nationally and internationally, while also contributing to the creation of equal conditions for all competition participants.
“The development and implementation of the Anti-Doping Rules by The Ukrainian Athletics Federation is not just a technical achievement but a moral commitment to strengthening the fight against doping. The AFU and its newly elected leadership are demonstrating leadership and innovation, which should serve as an example for other sports organizations in the country. We are grateful to them for this approach and their determination," commented Sergii Popyk, Director of the NADC, on this event.
Clean sport is a collective triumph!
