On 5 August, specialists from the National Anti-Doping Center delivered an anti-doping education lecture for representatives, coaches, athletes, and administrative staff of the Ukrainian Pickleball Federation.

During the session, participants learned about the fundamental principles of the World Anti-Doping Code, athletes’ rights and responsibilities, the doping control process, the risks associated with prohibited substances, and the importance of anti-doping education as an integral part of modern sport.

This event is particularly significant because the International Pickleball Federation is not yet a Signatory to the WADA World Anti-Doping Code. Nevertheless, the Ukrainian Pickleball Federation is already demonstrating a proactive and responsible approach by preparing for future integration into the international anti-doping system and fostering a culture of clean sport well before it becomes a mandatory requirement.

Such a forward-looking approach sets an excellent example for other sports federations. Building knowledge, understanding anti-doping rules, and preparing to operate in accordance with international standards prior to formal adoption of the Code reflect the federation’s commitment to integrity and its determination to develop the sport on the principles of fair play.
