On May 12, the first multisport forum “akTYvni” took place in Kyiv, bringing together representatives of the sports community, medicine, science, and the public sector to discuss the development of modern sport and the formation of a healthy nation.

Opening the event, the Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Matvii Bidnyi emphasized the importance of joining efforts for the future of Ukrainian sport:

“Sport has always been and remains a unique instrument of our unity and cohesion. That is why we need to implement systemic changes in society, and young people, students, teachers, and coaches must become full participants in this discussion.”

As part of the strategic panel “Sports Medicine and Science,” Acting Director of the National Anti-Doping Center and Doctor of Philosophy Valerii Zlomynoha delivered presentations titled “Fair Play: How Clean Sport Shapes True Champions” and “Doping: A Shortcut to Defeat.”

During his speech, Valerii Zlomynoha focused on the role of fair play in building an athlete’s reputation, the importance of trust in sport, and the consequences of violating anti-doping rules. Forum participants also discussed the risks associated with doping, including disqualification, negative effects on athletes’ health, and the loss of professional careers.

Special attention was paid to anti-doping education as a tool for creating a conscious and responsible sporting environment in which the values of clean sport become the foundation for the development of the younger generation of athletes.

The “akTYvni” forum became a platform for professional dialogue about the future of Ukrainian sport and the need to combine modern approaches to physical education, sports science, medicine, and the culture of clean sport.
