NADC Participated in a Meeting at the Ministry of Youth and Sports on the Activities of Sports Institutions
On May 6, 2026, representatives of the National Anti-Doping Center took part in a working meeting held at the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine.
During the meeting, participants discussed the preparation of the annual report on the activities of physical culture and sports institutions for 2026. The report covers, in particular, the number of athletes and coaches, training camps conducted, athletes’ performance results, reasons for non-participation in competitions, implementation of rehabilitation and recovery measures, the level of scientific and methodological as well as medical support, and financial expenditures.
Within the discussion, the National Anti-Doping Center presented proposals aimed at increasing the effectiveness of preventing anti-doping rule violations by athletes and their support personnel.
In particular, Olympic Training Centers were recommended to:
- ensure that athletes and athlete support personnel complete anti-doping education with relevant certification (NADC, ADEL, international federations);
- during medical examinations, take into account the need to apply for Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUEs) and, where necessary, follow the relevant procedures (including an upcoming online event on TUEs scheduled for May 20, 2026);
- verify prescribed medications for the presence of substances included in the Prohibited List prior to their use by athletes.
Special attention was also given to the role of the Center of Sports Medicine. NADC proposed improving the centralized collection and storage of athletes’ medical data to enable comprehensive scientific analysis, correlation with physiological indicators, and potential use of such data in cases of deviations identified in an athlete’s Biological Passport.
The National Anti-Doping Center continues to systematically work on integrating anti-doping approaches into the athlete development system and strengthening the culture of clean sport in Ukraine.
Clean sport is the result of daily work!
