Launch of a Series of Educational Anti-Doping Webinars Ahead of the 2026 Olympics
On September 24, the National Anti-Doping Center held the first of three planned educational webinars within the framework of implementing the NADC Anti-Doping Program for the XXXV Olympic Winter Games, which will take place in Milan–Cortina in 2026.
During the event, athletes who are candidates for the national team and their coaches received up-to-date information about the anti-doping rules that will apply at the Games, including the testing procedures, athletes’ responsibilities, and the requirements of the International Olympic Committee.
Special attention was given by NADC experts to the issue of prohibited substances in common medicines. Participants were informed about the potential risks even standard medical treatments may pose, why it is crucial to check the composition of medications before using them, and how to act in cases where a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) is needed.
The audience was also reminded of the importance of taking personal responsibility for their sporting future: compliance with the rules is not only a requirement of the Code but also the key to fair competition and trust in results.
Two more webinars lie ahead, continuing the series of anti-doping education sessions and helping athletes to prepare thoroughly and responsibly for the main winter competition of the four-year cycle.
