Stop. Check. Take It Responsibly: NADC Releases a New Educational Video
The National Anti-Doping Center continues implementing the UNESCO project “Clean Sport Ambassadors: Together Against Doping” and is pleased to present a new educational video dedicated to the responsible use of medications in sport.
The video features Anna Ryzhykova, Ukrainian track and field athlete, Olympic medalist, and medalist at the World and European Championships.
The story portrays a situation familiar to many athletes: an injury, pain, and the desire to return to training and competition as quickly as possible. It reminds viewers that in such moments, athletes should never rush to take medication without first ensuring that it does not contain prohibited substances and complies with anti-doping regulations.
The video highlights several key principles every athlete should remember:
- athletes are personally responsible for everything that enters their body;
- even medications prescribed by a doctor should always be checked;
- before taking any medication, athletes should verify that it complies with the anti-doping rules.
The aim of the video is to raise awareness among athletes about the risks of inadvertent anti-doping rule violations and to emphasize that taking responsibility for one's health and every medication consumed is an essential part of clean sport.
