15 October 2025

On October 14, 2025, an educational event titled “Anti-doping education as a component of professional qualification for coaches and medical specialists” took place at the Lviv State University of Physical Culture named after Ivan Boberskyi, organized jointly with the National Anti-Doping Center (NADC).

The event was held within the framework of a cooperation agreement between the university and NADC and brought together students and faculty of the Physical Culture and Sports program at both bachelor’s and master’s levels, as well as other interested participants.

The lecture was delivered by Kateryna Koval, Head of the Results Management Department of NADC.

Participants discussed key topics, including:

  • why anti-doping education is a mandatory part of professional training for sports specialists;

  • what coaches and medical professionals need to know about doping, violations, and their responsibilities;

  • how to distinguish ordinary medications from prohibited substances and how to act if an athlete requires medical treatment;

  • the requirements of the WADA Prohibited List and why dietary supplements may pose risks.

The event featured an active discussion: attendees asked many questions and shared their perspectives on the role of education in fostering a “clean sport” culture.

The National Anti-Doping Center expresses sincere gratitude to the university administration and faculty for their cooperation, initiative, openness to partnership, and commitment to improving educational programs in line with modern international standards in anti-doping activities.

Joint educational initiatives between NADC and higher education institutions remain an important step toward creating a responsible, knowledgeable, and ethical sports environment in Ukraine.
