NADC on a Working Visit to Vinnytsia Region: Education, Cooperation, and Clean Sport

15 October 2025

On October 14, representatives of the National Anti-Doping Center visited the Vinnytsia region on a working visit. The program included meetings with local authorities, the sports community, and students, aimed at strengthening regional anti-doping cooperation and promoting education in the field of clean sport.

During a working meeting with First Deputy Head of the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration Nataliia Zabolotna, Head of the Department of Sports and Physical Activity of the Department of Humanitarian Policy of the Vinnytsia Regional State Administration Nataliia Tokar, and Head of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine’s Branch in Vinnytsia Region Serhii Borzov, the parties discussed the importance of ensuring that all sports federations in the region comply with anti-doping rules.

“It is important that every sports federation not only knows but consciously follows anti-doping regulations. This is not a matter of formality but of trust in Ukrainian sport at the international level,” noted Nataliia Zabolotna.

“We support cooperation with NADC and are ready to develop educational initiatives for athletes in Vinnytsia. Clean sport begins with the right information,” added Nataliia Tokar.

As part of the visit, a meeting was held with students and lecturers of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports at Vinnytsia Mykhailo Kotsiubynskyi State Pedagogical University. During the lecture, participants learned about the structure and principles of the global and national anti-doping systems, current challenges in the fight against doping in sport, and the practical work of the NADC.

“Anti-doping education is the foundation of a conscious attitude toward sport. We want every future coach and educator to become a promoter of fair play values,” emphasized NADC Director Serhii Popyk.

During the visit, a Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of anti-doping was signed between the NADC and Vinnytsia Mykhailo Kotsiubynskyi State Pedagogical University.

A separate meeting was also held with heads of regional branches of national sports federations, leaders of sports schools and elite sports centers, coaches, young athletes, and sports medicine doctors. NADC experts presented modern anti-doping rules and procedures, the requirements of international and Ukrainian legislation, the procedures for the use of medicines and dietary supplements, and the mechanisms for imposing sanctions in cases of anti-doping rule violations.

“We strive to make anti-doping culture an integral part of every region’s sports system. It is essential that coaches, doctors, and athletes have the necessary knowledge to make the right decisions. Education is the first step toward preventing violations,” stressed NADC Director Serhii Popyk.

The visit to Vinnytsia became another step in implementing the NADC’s educational strategy aimed at developing a culture of clean sport in Ukraine.
Together, we are shaping the future of fair play.
