“Clean Sport Starts Here”: NADC Trains New Doping Control Officers
On June 14, the National Anti-Doping Center held a training session in Kyiv for a new group of doping control officer (DCO) candidates. Five participants from various regions of Ukraine were invited to take part.
The small group size allowed for a personalized approach, contributing to deeper understanding of the material and more effective development of practical skills.
The training program included theoretical modules developed in accordance with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) standards, as well as practical exercises. Special focus was given to critical topics such as athlete identification, handling partial samples, low specific gravity cases, and the specificities of testing underage athletes.
Training was conducted through real case analysis, group work, and simulation of critical situations. Candidates gained valuable knowledge from certified NADC DCOs with significant field experience.
At the end of the course, all participants successfully passed a final knowledge assessment. The next step is the pre-accreditation training phase.
This is another important milestone in strengthening Ukraine’s anti-doping system and enhancing the professionalism of its personnel.
We train constantly — we work professionally.
