Strengthening Competencies: NADC Hosts Internal Training on Investigations
On April 30, the National Anti-Doping Center (NADC) held an internal training session for its staff focused on data collection and conducting investigations in the field of anti-doping.
The training was delivered by Artem Karashchuk, Assistant Director of NADC, who has practical experience in detecting anti-doping rule violations and previously headed the Investigations Department.
During the session, participants were introduced to the key stages of conducting investigations, sources of information, and methods of data analysis. Particular attention was given to working with informants, assessing the reliability of information, identifying potential risks (red flags), and interagency cooperation in the information-gathering process.
“Effective investigations begin with high-quality data collection and the ability to analyze it properly. A systematic approach to working with information enables the timely detection of violations and the protection of clean sport principles,” noted Artem Karashchuk.
The training also covered the regulatory framework governing investigative activities, including provisions of the World Anti-Doping Code, International Standards, and internal policies.
Such internal trainings are an important component of NADC team’s professional development and contribute to building a unified approach to information handling, as well as enhancing the effectiveness of anti-doping efforts.
