NADC launches reaccreditation of doping control officers
The National Anti-Doping Center has initiated a new stage of reaccreditation for doping control officers. All personnel responsible for sample collection at competitions and during training sessions are undergoing mandatory qualification updates.
The reaccreditation program is based on the WADA International Standard for Testing and Investigations (ISTI) and incorporates best practices gained through participation in the Doping Control Officer Foundation Training Program delivered by the International Testing Agency (ITA).
Participants are enhancing their knowledge of current sample collection procedures, rules for transporting biological material, athlete communication ethics, and the use of updated documentation formats. Special attention is given to practical skills—from correct form completion to handling complex testing scenarios.
“Reaccreditation is not a formality but a genuine tool for improving the quality of work. Every officer who goes out to conduct testing with a renewed certificate guarantees athletes the same high level of professionalism across the entire country,” noted NADC Director Serhii Popyk.
By the end of January 2026, the entire doping control staff is expected to complete reaccreditation. This will enable the NADC to continue ensuring independent, impartial, and professional doping control at the highest international level.
