On 24 February, Director of the National Anti-Doping Center, Sergii Popyk, at the invitation of the Moldovan side, visited the National Anti-Doping Agency of the Republic of Moldova.

The meeting with the Agency’s Director, Artem Zhukov, and the Moldovan team focused not on formalities, but on practical work. The parties reviewed the implementation of the existing Memorandum of Cooperation, assessed which areas are already delivering tangible results, and identified opportunities to further enhance their collaboration.

Discussions also covered approaches to testing, results management, the development of educational programmes, and internal procedures that shape the day-to-day activities of anti-doping organizations. The exchange of experience took place in an open and professional format, with a clear focus on effective solutions and practical tools.

Particular attention was paid to communication with the sports community and raising awareness of anti-doping rules. In the course of an open dialogue, the participants addressed real challenges faced by their organizations and shared instruments aimed at improving operational efficiency.

“International cooperation in anti-doping is above all about trust and the willingness to speak openly. We are all working toward the same goal — protecting clean sport. When organizations choose collaboration over competition and support one another, the system becomes stronger. This is the format in which true partnership should develop,” noted the Director of the NADC.

Following the visit, the parties confirmed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation, maintaining regular professional exchanges, and working together to advance the anti-doping system in the region.
