NADC Statistics: Distribution of Doping Control Sample Collection by Sport
Within the NADC Statistics section, aggregated data on doping control sample collection carried out as part of the National Anti-Doping Center’s anti-doping programme are published.
This edition focuses on the distribution of collected doping control samples by sport, as well as on the ratio of in-competition and out-of-competition testing.
The highest number of doping control samples was collected in sports with a large athlete population and high competitive intensity, including athletics, weightlifting, canoe/kayak, cycling, swimming, and skiing disciplines.
Doping control was also conducted across a wide range of other Olympic and non-Olympic sports, including team sports, combat sports, technical disciplines, and para sports.
The NADC emphasizes that the volume of testing within a particular sport is determined using a risk-based approach, taking into account international requirements, the competition structure, and the number of athletes included in the Registered Testing Pool and the Testing Pool.

A systematic and balanced testing approach is a key element in ensuring a level playing field and the protection of clean sport!
