Goal Against Doping: NADC and All-Ukrainian Trade Union "Football Ukraine" Agree on Educational Anti-Doping Activities

05 March 2026

On 5 March, the National Anti-Doping Center and the All-Ukrainian Trade Union «Football Ukraine» signed an agreement under which NADC experts will conduct a series of seminars and training sessions on anti-doping for professional women’s football teams.

The purpose of these educational activities is to strengthen the values of fair play in national women’s football and to raise awareness and knowledge among athletes, coaches, and staff about anti-doping rules, rights and responsibilities, as well as the risks associated with prohibited substances and dietary supplements. Footballers and club personnel will receive practical guidance on compliance with anti-doping rules, undergoing testing, and engaging with anti-doping organizations.

“With the support of our Swedish partners, the All-Ukrainian Trade Union ‘Football Ukraine’ is launching a new project with the National Anti-Doping Center. This time, with the expertise of NADC specialists, we will work with 10 professional women’s football teams on anti-doping education. I am grateful to NADC for supporting our initiative and for their readiness to provide the necessary knowledge to our athletes,” said Irek Gataullin, Head of the All-Ukrainian Trade Union “Football Ukraine.”

“We highly appreciate the efforts of the All-Ukrainian Trade Union ‘Football Ukraine’ regarding anti-doping preparation in professional women’s football in our country. This is not only about providing educational and informational support to athletes. We understand that our colleagues are thinking broadly, as this concerns the principles of clean sport in women’s football. These seminars will help athletes, coaches, and medical staff gain a deeper understanding of current anti-doping rules and the responsibilities for any violations. We are confident that working together to develop an anti-doping culture will strengthen the quality of Ukrainian women’s football and trust in its sporting results,” said NADC Director Sergii Popyk following the signing of the agreement.

The seminars and training sessions, scheduled over the coming months, will provide anti-doping education to athletes and staff of 10 professional women’s football teams and will cover various regions across Ukraine.

Working together — for the sake of clean Ukrainian women’s football.
