July 25 – National Anti-Doping Center Day: United for Clean Sport
On July 25, the National Anti-Doping Center celebrated its professional holiday — NADC Day. This year, the event was held in cooperation with the Ukrainian Shotgun Shooting Federation andbrought together representatives of the sports community, government institutions, and partnerorganizations.
NADC staff were congratulated by the Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, Matviy Bidnyi, Deputy Ministers, President of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, Vadym Huttsait, VicePresidents of the NOC, heads of national sports federations, leading Ukrainian athletes, anti-dopingexperts, and NADC’s partners.
NADC Director Sergii Popyk presented key achievements of the organization and outlined strategicdirections for further development. Minister Matviy Bidnyi, NOC President Vadym Huttsait, andNADC Director Serhii Popyk awarded honorary distinctions and certificates to NADC experts andrepresentatives of the sports sector for their professionalism, integrity, and consistent contributionto the advancement of clean sport in Ukraine.
A highlight of the event was the signing of a Cooperation Agreement between the National Anti-Doping Center of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Shotgun Shooting Federation, marking a new stage inthe collaboration to promote clean sport principles.
The event also featured a video greeting from the President of the World Anti-Doping Agency(WADA), Witold Bańka, who expressed support for Ukraine’s efforts in upholding integrity insports and emphasized the importance of international partnerships in the global anti-dopingcommunity.
A unique feature of the celebration was a hands-on introduction to Olympic shotgun disciplines — a sport requiring maximum concentration, precision, and inner balance. Guests had the opportunitynot only to learn more about the sport but also to try themselves as shooters.
NADC Day is more than a calendar date. It is a moment to acknowledge and celebrate the efforts ofthose who work daily to uphold the principles of clean and fair sport in Ukraine.
