NADC and Odesa Regional Medical and Sports Dispensary Sign Cooperation Agreement
On 22 May, the National Anti-Doping Center (NADC) and the Odesa Regional Medical and Sports Dispensary signed a cooperation agreement in the field of combating doping in sport.
The document was signed by NADC Director Valerii Zlomynoha and Dispensary Director Mykola Bondar, with the participation of Volodymyr Sekretnyi, Chair of the NADC Therapeutic Use Committee.
The purpose of the agreement is to combine efforts to create a sport environment free from doping, as well as to strengthen anti-doping education, prevention, and informational support for athletes, physicians, coaches, and athlete support personnel.
Within the framework of the cooperation, the parties plan to conduct joint educational activities, disseminate information on prohibited substances and methods, doping control procedures, therapeutic use of medications, and promote a culture of responsible use of medicines and dietary supplements among young athletes.
Special attention will be paid to anti-doping education for medical personnel, internal monitoring of medical prescriptions in accordance with the WADA Prohibited List, and the development of the “Clean Sport” program for students of sports schools.
Valerii Zlomynoha noted: “The joint work of the medical community and anti-doping organizations is extremely important for creating a safe and fair sporting environment. Education, prevention, and open dialogue are key tools in the fight against doping.”
In turn, Mykola Bondar emphasized: “We are interested in developing a modern approach to sports medicine and anti-doping education. This cooperation will help strengthen awareness among athletes and medical professionals and contribute to promoting the values of clean sport.”
NADC continues to develop partnerships and interinstitutional cooperation to strengthen the culture of fair sport in Ukraine.
