On May 17, a meeting between the Director of NADC, Sergii Popyk, and the Director of the National Police of Ukraine Counter Narcotics Department Dmytro Torgalo took place. During the meeting, they discussed practical cooperation on combating the circulation of substances prohibited in sports.

"Fight against doping in sport involves more than just testing and anti-doping education. Today, it is a systematic effort that includes the criminalization of anti-doping rule violations. The international and national anti-doping communities are concerned about the increasing circulation of substances prohibited in sport, particularly those listed in WADA's Prohibited List. We are grateful to the National Police of Ukraine Counter Narcotics Department for their deep and professional understanding of this issue, as well as their willingness to help address it," said Sergii Popyk during the meeting.

Discussing the legal mechanisms of cooperation, Dmytro Torgalo emphasized the need to amend regulatory and directive documents of relevant ministries and agencies to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of combating the circulation of prohibited substances.

Soon, a meeting of the interdepartmental working group will be held to prepare proposals for establishing control over the production, circulation, and use of substances prohibited in sports, including regulatory measures.
