On April 11, Ukraine, along with the global sports community, celebrated Play True Day — the Day of Clean Sport. This is a global initiative of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) that brings together everyone who supports the idea of integrity in sports.

The theme for 2025 — "Play True: It Starts with You" — emphasizes the personal responsibility of each: athlete, coach, official, and fan. Clean sport is a choice we make every day.

The event in Ukraine was organized by the National Anti-Doping Centre, which gathered friends of clean sport at Racket Sports Park Kyiv. The atmosphere was sports-driven, inspiring, and friendly.

The event was attended by:

• Andriy Chesnokov, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine
• Vadym Huttsait, President of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine
• Oleksiy Dniprov, President of the Badminton Federation of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Padel Federation
• Volodymyr Hubar, President of the Ukrainian Pickleball Federation
• Yuriy Cheban, Olympic champion, Head of the Athletes’ Council
• Olena Pidhrushna, Olympic champion, Member of the Athletes’ Council
• Marina and Vlada Aleksiivi, World and European Champions in Synchronized Swimming, Ambassadors of Clean Sport

As part of the event, masterclasses and tournaments in pickleball, badminton, and padel took place — symbols of unity, fair play, and inspiration for change.

A special moment of the event was the presentation of awards to the Ambassadors of Clean Sport, which Serhiy Popyk, Director of the NADC, presented to Marina and Vlada Aleksiivi for their active stance and promotion of integrity in sports.

"It is very important for us not only to talk about clean sport but also to build a community that sincerely supports these values. We are grateful to everyone who joins our movement. Today's event is a vivid confirmation of this," said Serhiy Popyk, Director of the National Anti-Doping Centre.

Additionally, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the NADC and the Ukrainian Pickleball Federation — an important step toward the development of a culture of integrity in emerging sports disciplines.
