NADC and the Ukrainian Mountaineering and Climbing Federation: A Joint Commitment to Fair Sport
On March 25, the National Anti-Doping Center held a meeting with the President of the Ukrainian Mountaineering and Climbing Federation, Hanna Yasynska. The main topic of discussion was the launch of a systematic anti-doping movement within the Federation and the implementation of measures aimed at upholding the principles of clean sport.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that climbing is a relatively new Olympic sport, having made its debut at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, and continues to grow within the global sports movement. Given this, ensuring compliance with international anti-doping standards and increasing awareness among athletes, coaches, and specialists in doping control is of utmost importance.
"Building a culture of clean sport is a shared responsibility for all members of the sports community. Cooperation with the Ukrainian Mountaineering and Climbing Federation is a crucial step toward integrating Ukrainian climbing into the international anti-doping system and ensuring equal opportunities for athletes on the global stage," noted NADC Director Sergii Popyk.
