On December 23, an expanded meeting of the Supervisory Board of the National Anti-Doping Centre took place. The meeting was attended by the heads of the Nomination Committee, Disciplinary and Appeal Anti-Doping Commissions, the Therapeutic Use Committee, the Athletes’ Council, the Anti-Doping Ombudsman, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine.

“The National Anti-Doping Centre continues to develop as required by international and national anti-doping legislation, taking into account the challenges of the time and demonstrating its effectiveness in the fight for clean sport. NADC's efforts in 2024 deserve high praise. Today, we are summing up the year and defining the tasks and directions for the centre's development for 2025 and beyond,” said the Chair of the Supervisory Board, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Andriy Chesnokov, opening the meeting.

NADC Director Sergii Popyk and Deputy Directors Yevheniy Konovalenko and Valeriy Zlomynoga briefed the participants on the main results of anti-doping work, initiatives to improve anti-doping legislation, the implementation of the Centre's Development Strategy, certification of the management system, and the introduction of informational and educational projects, including "Ambassadors of Clean Sport."

“We have gone through a challenging path, overcoming the difficulties we faced this year. Our goal was not only to fulfill international commitments but also to build a system that meets the highest quality standards. NADC has proven its ability to respond to critical situations, implement new approaches in anti-doping activities, and strengthen trust among both Ukrainian athletes and international partners. This has been possible thanks to the coordinated work of our team and the support of everyone who shares our values,” emphasized Sergii Popyk.

During the meeting, key priorities for 2025 were discussed, including further improving anti-doping services, expanding cooperation with international partners and national stakeholders, and measures for the digitalization of key processes to increase the effectiveness of anti-doping activities in Ukraine, enhance trust in the competition process, and promote fair play.

At the conclusion of the 2024 work year, Andriy Chesnokov, the Chair of the Supervisory Board, awarded departmental distinctions from the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine to NADC employees.

We work diligently – we compete fairly!
