NADC and UNESCO Implement the Project “Clean Sport Ambassadors: Together Against Doping”
A round table titled “Clean Sport Ambassadors: Together Against Doping”, organized by the National Anti-Doping Center (NADC) and the public organization Zmahaymos Chesno (“Let’s Compete Fairly”), was held at the Olympic Training and Sports Center Koncha-Zaspa Olympic Training and Sports Center.
Renowned and respected athletes — NADC Clean Sport Ambassadors — were invited to participate in the round table, including Maryna Aleksieieva, Vlada Aleksieieva, Oleksii Sereda, Oksana Livach, Yuliia Bakastova, Artur Felfner, as well as Paris Olympic Games medalist Iryna Koliadenko. The event also brought together coaches, sports medicine professionals, representatives of national sports federations, and communication experts.
During the meeting, participants were presented with the results of the survey “Identifying Needs for Anti-Doping Educational Materials,” conducted with the support of UNESCO in January–February of this year among members of the Ukrainian sports community.

Taking into account the survey findings, round table participants discussed both strategic approaches to the development and improvement of the anti-doping education system in 2026 and practical issues related to the content, formats, and distribution channels of educational materials, including their dissemination through modern information platforms.
Particular attention was given to identifying and refining the current needs of athletes and their support personnel — primarily coaches and medical staff — as well as effective ways of delivering targeted and relevant information.
Presenting the preliminary results of the project’s implementation with UNESCO, Director of the National Anti-Doping Center Sergii Popyk emphasized the importance of open dialogue with the sports community:
“It is extremely important for us to hear the perspectives of athletes, coaches, and representatives of sports federations. Such dialogue helps us build an effective anti-doping education system that reflects the real needs of the sports community and promotes the culture of clean sport in Ukraine. Prevention of anti-doping rule violations is one of the key priorities of the Center’s work, and this is precisely why meetings like today’s are so important,” he noted.
Chairman of Zmahaymos Chesno and Vice President of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, Oleksandr Krykun, also emphasized the importance of continued close cooperation between NADC and the Ukrainian sports community.
“I would like to particularly highlight the significant work carried out by the National Anti-Doping Center with the Ukrainian sports community, especially in the area of preventing anti-doping rule violations. We value the efforts and initiatives of the NADC. We can already see changes in the overall atmosphere and observe positive results,” he stressed.
This format of meetings enables the involvement of various groups within the sports community in shaping an effective anti-doping education system. The proposals and ideas developed during the discussions will be taken into account by the National Anti-Doping Center when planning educational initiatives and informational materials for 2026.
Clean sport begins with knowledge. Choose a fair victory.
