On July 4, a meeting was held at the National Anti-Doping Center with the Ukrainian Association of Football, dedicated to improving cooperation in the field of anti-doping efforts in football.

During the meeting, the participants discussed priority issues of interaction in cases of anti-doping rule violations, measures to ensure the confidentiality of information, procedures for engaging with athletes — including providing them with necessary assistance and support — as well as specific aspects of communication between the NADC and the UAF.

The main focus was on systematic prevention, raising awareness among players, coaches, and medical staff about the risks of using prohibited substances, and the need to implement comprehensive educational programs.

“We are convinced that effective cooperation with the Ukrainian Association of Football will help foster a culture of zero tolerance for doping. It is extremely important that every football player understands their responsibility and has access to reliable information, qualified support, and up-to-date educational resources. Only together can we protect fair play and the health of athletes,” said Sergii Popyk, Director of the National Anti-Doping Center.

Following the meeting, both parties confirmed their shared commitment to strengthening the partnership, developing transparent procedures, and adhering to the principles of international and national anti-doping requirements and standards.
