The Olympic House hosts the launch of the public organization “Play True”
On July 7, the Olympic House hosted the official presentation of the public organization “Play True,” whose mission is to promote the principles of clean sport, foster a culture of integrity, and support Ukrainian athletes in adhering to international anti-doping standards.
The founders of “Play True,” Vice President of the NOC of Ukraine Oleksandr Krykun and Vice President of the NOC of Ukraine Oleksii Dniprov, presented the organization’s purpose and objectives and informed participants about the key tasks it aims to accomplish in the short and long term.
The presentation was attended by President of the NOC of Ukraine Vadym Guttsait, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Oleksandr Nikitenko, and Director of the National Anti-Doping Center Sergii Popyk.
The importance of such an initiative was also emphasized by renowned Ukrainian athletes Yuliia Levchenko and Marta Fedina, who participated in the event.
"We established this organization to bring together experience, knowledge, and resources for a common goal — to make Ukrainian sport more transparent, safer, and fairer," noted the organization’s founder Oleksii Dniprov.
Founder and Director of “Play True” Oleksandr Krykun called on athletes, coaches, and sports organizations to join joint projects and choose the path of honest competition without compromise.
"We also place special expectations on cooperation with the National Anti-Doping Center, as we understand the need to establish ongoing interaction and communication," O. Krykun emphasized.
Following the presentation, the National Anti-Doping Center and “Play True” signed a memorandum of cooperation. This document affirms the parties’ intention to jointly implement educational projects, information campaigns, prevention programs, and other initiatives aimed at countering doping in sport.
"The creation of a public organization dedicated to anti-doping efforts, as well as the signing of the memorandum of cooperation, is an important step towards consolidating the efforts of governmental and civic organizations to protect fair play. Together, we can make sport more transparent and safer for every athlete," stated Sergii Popyk, Director of the National Anti-Doping Center.
