On October 31, the Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, Matviy Bidny, visited the National Anti-Doping Center (NADC) and familiarized himself with the activities of the anti-doping organization.

The Director of NADC, Serhiy Popyk, informed the Minister about the main results of their work, particularly regarding the organization and conduct of testing, processing results, and investigating violations of anti-doping rules, as well as key anti-doping educational and informational initiatives. “The NADC receives all necessary organizational and financial support from the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine for effective operation, which is why we have achieved good results in our practical activities. According to the NADC Development Strategy, we need to move forward—develop and implement an electronic information and communication system, continuously enhance the skills and competencies of our staff, train and upgrade the qualifications of doping control officers, establish close cooperation with international partners such as WADA, the International Testing Agency, and anti-doping organizations in partner countries, and maintain daily contact with international and national sports federations and the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine. The NADC is well aware of its role and responsibilities, has a clear goal, and we are consistently working towards it,” stated S. Popyk.

“Ukraine, as a country with a rich sports history, needs an effective and modern anti-doping program that fully considers both international anti-doping standards and requirements, as well as the current state of Ukrainian sports, which functions and develops under the challenging conditions of war and Russian military aggression. The NADC is the organization responsible for developing and implementing the national anti-doping program. We are satisfied with how the NADC is functioning today; we see the results of your practical work—this is precisely the goal that the Ministry of Youth and Sports pursued when rebooting the operations of the National Anti-Doping Center in 2022,” emphasized M. Bidny during a meeting with the center's staff.

Accompanying the Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine during the visit to the National Anti-Doping Center were Andriy Chesnokov, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of NADC and Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, and Nataliya Radchuk, Head of the Department of International Cooperation and European Integration at the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
