The Supervisory Board of the NADC Held Its Final Meeting in the Current Composition at the Ministry of Youth and Sports
On 3 June 2026, a meeting of the Supervisory Board of the National Anti-Doping Center (NADC) was held at the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine. During the meeting, participants discussed key issues related to the development of the national anti-doping system and its further alignment with international requirements.
The meeting was opened by Natalia Radchuk, Chair of the NADC Supervisory Board. Sergii Popyk, First Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, also took part in the meeting.
One of the central topics on the agenda was the upcoming changes to the international anti-doping framework. NADC Director Valerii Zlomynoha informed the members of the Supervisory Board about the ongoing revision of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) World Anti-Doping Code and International Standards, the updated versions of which will enter into force in 2027.
“The revision of the World Anti-Doping Code and International Standards is an important milestone for the global anti-doping community. It is crucial for Ukraine to prepare in advance for the implementation of the new requirements, ensuring that the national anti-doping system remains aligned with the highest international standards and best practices,” said Valerii Zlomynoha.
Continuing this discussion, NADC Deputy Director Yevhenii Konovalenko presented a vision for further harmonization of national legislation with the forthcoming changes to the international regulatory framework and outlined the key areas of work related to updating the relevant legal and regulatory acts.
A separate part of the meeting was dedicated to reviewing the activities of the NADC. Members of the Supervisory Board examined reports on the Centre’s operational activities for 2025 and the first half of 2026, discussed the outcomes of anti-doping programmes, and considered current challenges and priorities for the organisation’s further development.
Issues related to anti-doping education and communications were presented by Mariia Daineko, Head of the NADC Education and Communications Department. She informed the members of the Supervisory Board about ongoing educational initiatives and preparations for implementing future changes to the International Standard for Education.
“The forthcoming changes to the International Standards will require thorough preparation from all stakeholders within the sporting community. That is why one of the NADC’s key priorities remains the timely provision of information and high-quality education for athletes, coaches, and sports organisations regarding the new requirements and their practical implementation,” emphasized Mariia Daineko.
This meeting was particularly significant as it marked the final meeting of the current composition of the NADC Supervisory Board. Summarising the Board’s work, Natalia Radchuk and Valerii Zlomynoha expressed their gratitude to the Board members for their professional and constructive cooperation aimed at strengthening an independent and effective anti-doping system in Ukraine.
With the current term of office coming to an end, a new composition of the NADC Supervisory Board will be formed. The new Board will continue to provide strategic oversight of the Centre’s activities and support its development in line with international standards and global best practices.
