On the Road to the 2026 Winter Olympic Games: NADC Signs Cooperation Agreement with the Ukrainian Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation

09 April 2025

On April 9, the National Anti-Doping Center of Ukraine signed a cooperation agreement with the Ukrainian Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation. The goal of the partnership is to ensure a high level of anti-doping culture in one of the most dynamic and promising winter sports.

The federation includes some of the brightest representatives of Ukraine’s national team. Among them is Vladyslav Heraskevych, the leader of Ukrainian skeleton, who placed 4th at this year's World Championships, and Yaroslav Lavreniuk, a 17-year-old skeleton athlete from Zhytomyr, who brought Ukraine its first-ever gold medal at the U20 Skeleton World Championships in January 2025.

NADC Director Serhii Popyk emphasized the importance of the new agreement: “Skeleton and bobsleigh are not just spectacular sports — they require tremendous responsibility. We are glad the Federation is showing its commitment to being part of the global clean sport movement. Signing this agreement is another step toward enabling Ukrainian athletes to win fairly and confidently.”

As part of the collaboration, NADC will conduct educational events for athletes and coaches, provide guidance on anti-doping regulations, and support the implementation of tailored doping prevention programs.

Clean sport is your path to victory!
