As part of the Ukrainian Summer Biathlon Championship, an educational anti-doping seminar was held for athletes and coaches of the Biathlon Federation of Ukraine. The event consisted of two parts aimed at increasing awareness of current issues in anti-doping activities.

The first part was conducted by NADC Director Serhiy Popyk, who informed attendees about the functioning of the anti-doping system both in Ukraine and internationally. He emphasized the importance of partnership between the sports community and NADC to ensure fair competition.

The second part focused on practical aspects of anti-doping that concern athletes and coaches. Olha Yushchenko, Head of the NADC Anti-Doping Education Department, provided practical advice on checking medications, the need for therapeutic use exemptions (TUEs), and highlighted key anti-doping rule violations. Attendees were directed to essential information sources for further knowledge enhancement.

“We aim for transparent and open cooperation with federations and athletes. Only through joint efforts we can create conditions where clean sport becomes the norm, but not the exception,” - stated Serhiy Popyk.
