On May 28th, a meeting of the Supervisory Board of the National Anti-Doping Center took place.

The members of the Supervisory Board listened to the report on the practical work of the NADC in 2024, and also discussed the priority measures and initiatives for implementation of the national anti-doping program.

The focus of the meeting was on the current national legislation regulating anti-doping activities, including the need to amend the Law of Ukraine "On Anti-Doping Activity in Sport" and relevant articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Director of the NADC, Sergii Popyk, informed about the measures for implementing the anti-doping program developed by the NADC for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, as well as about the preparation for the certification of the center's quality management system according to the international standard (ISO 9001:2015 (DSTU ISO 9001:2015), including the development of necessary management system documents.

"We are working to ensure that the practical activities of the NADC, both in anti-doping work and in administrative and economic measures, fully comply with the international requirements of WADA and national legislation in this area. At the same time, the athlete remains at the Center of our attention and efforts, to whom we strive to provide a package of services necessary to achieve high results and feel confident in the cleanliness of sports and the competitive process," noted S. Popyk, regarding the practical work of the NADC.

During the meeting, there was also discussion about the initiative to introduce the NADC Day - a corporate holiday of the national anti-doping community.

"We are pleased with the work of the National Anti-Doping Center and highly appreciate the measures and efforts made by the NADC to ensure compliance of anti-doping work in Ukraine with the international obligations of our state and the World Anti-Doping Code," noted the Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Andriy Chesnokov.
